《成名在忘》是以劇本創作演藝圈中為主，故事內容為：等待成名的人，追逐「明星夢」的故事。《成名在忘》採用歌舞劇的形式作為創作，因而為了突顯此劇的特色，將此劇正式演出，全劇歌曲均由配合劇情創作而生。
本劇以反映社會當代真實現象為主，用貝克特的《等待果陀》(Waiting for Godot)的故事型態作為《成名在忘》創作劇本的參考藍圖，並移植劇中的角色結構，與《等待果陀》中的荒謬精神：「等不到」來做為故事的結局。除此之外，在創作方法上與亞里斯多德的《創作學》並用，一改《等待果陀》中重複的情節；以「等待」的戲劇行動事件，來貫穿全劇。傳達中心思想為：演員為等待成名的孤寂與無奈之感，以及演藝圈成名的荒謬。
