The composition of the music work reflects the caring sentiments, thoughts and feelings of the composer. The music writer uses “nature” as the central theme of her work. She integrates her perspective and contemplation on land, environment, and life as well as her personal experiences on how to keep a positive lookout towards the obstacles in life while overcoming her depression and these difficulties in her music, in the hope that her work can resonate and have an impact on the audience. This paper will discuss the inspirational idea behind the music work and analyze the alternation and integration used between the different vocal and instrumental parts. In addition, the emotional significance of the melody and lyrics in each music piece will also be examined in this paper.
This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, where the motivation of study, the purpose of research and the research methods and steps are described. The second chapter discusses the use of monologue in the music pieces, “Origin” and “Finale”. The third chapter analyzes the inspiration concept of the four music pieces, “Spring”, “Summer”, “Autumn”, and “Winter”. The fourth chapter concludes and summarizes the results of the study.
