Metallocene polyethylene-octene elastomer (mPE) blends are obtained and studied by using mPE (M)-g-silane and mPE (L)-g-silane as the adhesion promoters (M: medium crystallinity, L: low crystallinity). First, two different types of metallocene polyethylene-octene were grafted with vinyl triethoxy silane, then followed by the mixing those materials with mPE (M). The crosslinking reaction was conducted in water at 70℃. The polarity of those materials is mainly from silane. If the contents of clay were increased, a part of silane would react with clay and the polarity of those materials would decrease, instead. Overall, the mechanical properties reached the prescribed requirement..
