Since the 1980s, Hip-Hop culture in Taiwan has emerged and gradually evolved into a powerful social and cultural force. Initially influenced by Western culture, it rose within Taiwan's underground scene through various style competitions, eventually forming its unique style and characteristics. Today, Hip-Hop culture is deeply rooted in contemporary Taiwanese society, becoming a significant means for young people to express themselves and challenging traditional concepts and values. In the future, Taiwan’s Hip-Hop culture will face challenges such as educational system constraints and the influence of commercialization. However, with societal attention and support, it is believed that this culture will continue to thrive, bringing new vitality and creativity to Taiwan's cultural and artistic fields. This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of the development process of Taiwan’s Hip-Hop culture and provide suggestions for its future development. Employing narrative inquiry within the qualitative research methodology, the study conducted semi-structured in-depth interviews and thematic coding analysis to explore the history, influencing factors, and future trends of Taiwan’s Hip-Hop culture. The findings reveal that Taiwan’s Hip-Hop culture has made significant progress over the past few decades but still faces several challenges, including educational system constraints, commercialization influences, and societal perception rigidities. Despite these challenges, Taiwan’s Hip-Hop culture demonstrates resilience and vitality, continually innovating and advancing. With ongoing societal attention and support, it is expected to flourish, bringing more vitality and creativity to Taiwan's cultural and artistic domains.
