Attention to the newer phenomenon of tourism: over-tourism, overpopulation and population pollution in tourism cities strongly impact sustainability development. Besides, COVID-19 pandemic led to global travel being shut down, the border of Taiwan had been completely closed, which was a significant opportunity to explore the transformation in Taiwan’s tourism without international tourists. The research article was to compare the change of overcrowded tourism destinations before and during COVID-19 pandemic in Taiwan’s tourism. The objective of this article would be composited into three, to examine the change of tourist’s motivation in the natural destination of Taiwan before (2020) and during COVID-19; To examine the tourist satisfaction before (2020) and during COVID-19 in Taiwan’s natural destination; and to analysis the relationship between tourist’s motivation and their satisfaction in the natural destination of Taiwan. However, using quantitative research to collect and analyze data which conducted 100 survey responses as primary data and 600 officials. SPSS software would be used to analyze the quantitative data. The analysis of this article shows the significant influence of COVID-19 pandemic on domestic tourism in Taiwan’s natural environment. Decrease in international tourist arrival and control in overdevelopment on tourism facility gathering give a highly relief to over-tourism. Moreover, the damage in the natural destination would be recovered. In the end COVID-19 may be a vital antidote of over-tourism in Taiwan’s natural destination but not permanent.
