This research aims to study the economic relations between China and Thailand by exploring the historical background and current engagement of the two countries in the aspect of regionalism, as both countries have a long history of exchanges in the region and close relations in various fields.
This research uses a document analysis methodology, where relevant documents are selected and analyzed to address the research questions. The study focuses on several key areas, including the economic relations between China and Thailand, China's Belt and Road Initiative in Thailand, strategic cooperation, cultural and geographical relations between China and Thailand.
The findings of this study highlight the commitment of China and Thailand to enhance their economic relations. Both countries have played active roles in regional forums and initiatives. China acknowledges the strategic importance of Southeast Asia's geographic location and strengthens ties with countries in the region. Thailand maintains trade with China either directly or through ASEAN. As a result, both countries have successfully eliminated trade barriers, facilitated market access, and stimulated economic activity. China and Thailand have recognized the significance of managing regional networks to achieve mutual benefits and ensure long-term economic growth.
Through this comprehensive analysis, this study provides valuable insights into the economic relations between China and Thailand, offering a deeper understanding of China–Thailand relations, regional engagement, and the potential for further cooperation.
