This study focuses on homeless adult women and aims to explore their circumstances. It seeks to understand how these women transitioned from roles such as daughters, sisters, or wives within a family to becoming homeless and without a fixed abode. The study hopes to gain insights into the life experiences of homeless women through the interview process. Three adult women who have experienced marriage were purposefully sampled and invited to participate in the study. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using a "category-content" approach. The results of the research are as follows:
1.In the life experiences of homeless adult women, viewing women's experiences through the lens of home includes the notion that a woman's home is not a physical structure, but rather ” a network of relationships ” , and that homeless women's life journeys are constantly confronted with violence. At the same time, Viewing women through the lens of attachment includes the understanding that the mother-daughter relationship shapes the interpersonal patterns and values of homeless women, and that homeless women seek attachment but repeatedly experience attachment trauma.
2.In the experience of homelessness, understanding the living patterns of homeless women involves two main characteristics: the state of homelessness for women gradually transitions towards the phase of “ roofless” through dynamic changes and homeless women are “ economically disadvantaged individuals ending a marriage ” , and their survival strategies include “ the utilization of implements ” . In terms of self and human rights, it is evident that homeless women repeatedly undergo cycles of losing and reconstructing their sense of agency and homelessness may carry connotations of “ freedom ” and “ escape ”.
