Taking the Kaohsiung Pier-2 Art Zone as an example of the reuse of idle space, this area also experienced prosperity and rapid population growth before entering the idle period. It was originally an important storage and transshipment l
ocation in the port area. And the transformation of freight mode, the function of this area can not meet the modern facilities and other areas have been replaced by professional container terminals, so it is faced with idle situation.
The Pier-2 Special Economic Zone can be transformed into a well-known tourist attraction in Kaohsiung with idle space. In this process, it is the purpose of this study to understand its historical context and the rise and fall of surrounding development, as well as how to benefit subsequent development after the space is reused. , this study discusses the idle time and space range of the Kaohsiung Port, Hamasing and Yancheng districts based on the spatial relationship in the literature, and after establishing the research scope, summarizes the Analyze the transformation of the space during this period and its transformation factors, and conduct a comparative analysis with historical maps of different years, and finally observe the spatial changes through nesting.
The results of this study are summarized and analyzed, and the relevant areas within the scope of the study - Kaohsiung Port, Hamasing, and Yancheng Districts faced recession during the period from 1970 to 1980, and the regional development became idle in the 1990s.
In addition to reusing the idle space for general storage space, the abandoned railway of the Lingang Line is also re-planned by the circular light rail line, and the setting of the station site is also re-used. In addition to the planning of space re-use, in the Japanese occupation The old planning of the period is also in line with the development orientation of the relationship between the port area and the urban area in the later period. |
