This thesis contains five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, and is divided into two sections. The first section discusses the style of Brahms's work, and the second section outlines the background of Brahms' "Violin Sonata No. 3 in D minor”. This chapter summarizes Brahms's work style at different stages and part of his experience when composing this song.
