This work is based on the “Continuing Bond” grief theory , combined with the newly emerging Virtual Reality (VR) technology.

We first acquired University’s student that were interested in this topic. Backgrounds and scenes were constructed according to the volunteers’ demands, and were constructed with the 3D construction software Sketchup. Virtual characters of the volunteers were constructed with the Headshot plug-in of Reallusion Charger Creator. Last but not least, backgrounds, scenes, and characters were combined with 3Dxchange and Reallusion iclone. The game engine Unity were applied to add some character interactive elements to our work.

The “EVA” technology and art creation exhibition was held after the work is finished. We invited participants who came to the exhibition for an interview about the work and topic of remain. We hope that our research will benefit the practical psychotherapy and the funeral parlor industry.
