This study aims for organize concrete and effective teaching and learning methods of Korean Adverbial Case Markers 'ei', 'eseo', 'ro' based on analyzing intermediate and advanced Taiwanese learner usage patterns and the error causesof 'ei', 'eseo', 'ro'.
For most native speakers in Taiwan who speak Mandarin Chinese, difficulties will be faced when learning Korean because of the differences between two languages. In the system of Korean grammar, for example, function words are used to mark sentences, while this concept can’t be found in Mandarin Chinese grammar.
There are numerous Adverbial Case Markers in the function word system of Korean. In Mandarin Chinese, instead, contains many prepositions. Both function words share the similar grammar structure and meaning categories. Therefore, practically, Taiwanese learner tend to relate Korean Adverbial Case Markers to Chinese prepositions, rather than learning the meaning of the Korean Adverbial Case Markers itself. The grammar differences between two languages will cause the obstacle when learner tries to relate the two function words.
