Cyberbullying among adolescents is a very important topic in modern society. This study aims to understand the feelings and the behaviors of adult bystanders in adolescent cyberbullying. As understanding how these bystanders behave, the research may provide suggestions for related prevention in the future. Twelve adult bystanders, whom had witnessed adolescent cyberbullying, were participated in this interview survey for this research. By conducting in-depth interviews with these bystanders, the relationship between behavioral attitudes and the bystanders’ roles were clearly revealed. The research results are as follows:

    (1) The bystanders feel bad about themselves when facing other people suffering from cyberbullying; most of them are lack of awareness of their own roles in incidents. They are passive that they don’t even make any actions toward cyberbullying. They tend to ignore their roles as the ones who may stop cyberbullying.
    (2) It is easy for the bystanders to overlook the influence of "message dissemination" and "silence behavior" on cyberbullying. The main cause of the bystanders being silent toward cyberbullying is because they are worried that they might got caught up in the incidents which can be spread faster and further in the virtual world.
    (3) The bystanders are lack of awareness and cognition of cyberbullying. Since they don’t realize their important roles, they might even send offensive messages to the victims unwarily.

    Suggestions for future researches:
    (1) Promote detection and prevention of cyberbullying through education – school education / education to the bystanders.
    (2) Set policies and rules for detection and prevention of cyberbullying.
    (3) Make good use of social media to spread the ideas on prevention of cyberbullying.
