This study will use small and medium-sized enterprises in Taiwan as research subjects. According to the background and the motivation for this study, discussion of published articles and analysis of data will be used to discuss the correlation between leadership style and employee’s intent to stay. Furthermore, to use this study to find out what type of supervisor leadership style can reduce the turnover of employees and increase their willingness to stay in order to completely solve the problem of talent retention.
This study has three objectives toward the leadership style:
      1. Connection between transactional leadership and employee's intent to stay.
      2. Connection between transformational leadership and employee's intent to stay.
      3. Use supervisor’s trust, as an interference variable to understand whether more trust from the supervisor will affect employee's intent to stay.
Bass (1981) Leadership is an ability, or influence to encourage and guide individuals or groups toward the goals they pursue. Leadership refers to the interactions among leaders, followers, and environment or organizations; and furthermore influences on the followers through authority to achieve an enterprise’s vision and organizational goals.
