This study attempts to examine the “time-travel” concept in mythological thoughts. Beginning with defining “time-travel” ingenuity and concept from Chinese ancient novels, twelve contemporary films with time-travel plots are chosen to be analyzed in this research. It is to explore the vehicle, methods, and design of “time travel”, as well as the artistic merits and cultural meaning in the films.
