The purpose of the study was to investigate the air pollutants, temperature and the relative humidity of each season, area, and 5 daily periods (6-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16-18 and 19-21 time periods) in Taiwan. Results can be used by sport coaches and training managers for exercise training reference. All materials were collected from the Department of Climate and Environmental Protection. A Repeated Measures Analysis was employed to detect the differences between air pollutant concentration, temperature and relative humidity for each season, area and time period. A significant level was set at0.01.
Significant differences were found among the dependent variables. From the results, it can be concluded that:
1. There were significant differences between seasons in air pollutants concentration. It is nessary to be considered about the air pollutant concentration, when someone plans a series of exercise training program. So air indoor sport will be better than outdoor at the high level of air pollutont concentration period.
2. There were significant statistical differences between areas and seasons; it is there fore necessary for coaches or sport training managers to understand the environmental conditions.
3. There were significant statistical differences between daily time periods. The most serious period was at 19-21 hour period, while the 10-12 hour period also at high level of air pollutant concentration.
