The current study investigated the influence of acute stress on harmful selective attention, especially in high perceptual load and exposure to uncontrollable stress (Pressure instruction). If disrupted performance on subsequent cognitively demanding tasks and exhausted cognitive resources (selective attention). Twety-eight taekwondo student athletes were administered a Stroop task, in a within-subject, using the ERP neuroelectric index to provide covert brain processes to understand acute stress on selective attention, and then two measurements to check the stress intervention (Heart rate variability and Self-Assessment Manikin questionnaire). The stress intervention was successful in the main effect of SMA scale situation have significant p =. 027, but intensity is still insufficient. This current study did not find any effect (P3 amplitude), but found the Accuracy concurrent higher inconcurrent, Reactiontime inconcurrent longer concurrent, these result was consistent with the present study findings. Finially, Stress intervention was successful, individual different was the main reason (Negative thoughts、Motivation and Participants produce deliberate unstressed behavior), future studies should be conducted to select the time points before the competion (high stress level), to further explore the effect of stress on athletes' attention.
