圍繞著台北劍潭的傳說，總是提到一汪潭水，但是翻開台北地圖，卻沒有哪一處水潭被標示「劍潭」二字，因此本文嘗試以傳說為題材，透過情節中對劍潭的描繪，試圖找出「潭」的位置，並討論傳說所展現的文化意義，本文也兼及與傳說密切相關的鄭成功信仰在今日的變化。
The legends of Jiantan,which always referred to a pool.However,there has never been to find a pool ＂Jiantan＂, when we check the map. Therefore, this article try to find the location of the pool and discuss the cultural meaning, by analyzing the legends and the description of the stories about Jiantan.
