近年來台灣花布與客家文化緊密關聯，客家花布近乎成了台灣花布的另一個名字；花布濃厚的特色廣受喜愛，相繼出現在許多藝術設計作品上，做為主題或者元素。本研究將研究花布的由來和意象表現與其象徵意義，結合客家文化－藍衫的色彩、服裝款式，與其特色，融和花布設計一系列之流行服飾。
