韓國向來重視禮俗，婚禮亦涉及傳統觀念之延續，且許多部分迄今仍承襲中國相關古禮，也就表示韓國民族性與中國傳統禮儀的嚴密原則是十分扣連的，兩國均透過禮俗行禮如儀，試圖將新婚夫婦對未來所抱持的綺麗憧憬，及其存乎於精神與情感之間的平衡與和諧具體展現，藉此能夠共同建構出一種抽象且具備普遍性的完美結合體的殷切盼望，除可乘載對文化的傳承，也象徵不忘本的態度。本文由現代檢視傳統，是希冀在資訊爆炸、講求速率的當今社會中，保留對文化建構出的價值觀理解與延續，在變動的環境中，仍有許多人對婚姻有熱切的嚮往，畢竟家庭仍被視為構成社會的基本單位，而婚姻制度是人類重要的社會關係，也是組成家庭的重要因素。透過婚姻關係，體現出倫理關係的實質，誠如古籍《禮記‧昏義》當中開宗明義云:「昏禮者，將合兩姓之好，上以事宗廟，而下以繼後世也。」過往傳統婚儀中飽受批評的就是婚姻中充斥買賣關係的建構，特別是納徵一項，男方父母交付女方父母的聘禮、聘金皆不可少，但經濟價值若被視為婚姻的目的，聘娶婚姻是否流於買賣婚姻的儀式。本文只是起始，後續將作更縝密的研究梳理，盼將傳統婚儀的精髓精確掌握。
