寫實主義的委拉斯蓋茲，除是西班牙最偉大三大名畫家之一，亦被印象派畫家尊崇為「畫家中的畫家」；而浪漫主義的哥雅，除被卡洛四世譽為「西班牙第一畫家」，亦被尊崇為「畫家中的莎士比亞」。他在西方被譽為古代大師的延續，現代繪畫之始。本論文分別從畫家的生平、創作理念、藝術作品風格分析、獨特的藝術思想進行剖析，探討藝術家承先啟後之間的關連性與差異性。最後，綜合所有論述其藝術所產生的影響與評價，以肯定委拉斯蓋茲與哥雅所建構的藝術地位。本研究之目的乃為比較寫實主義的委拉斯蓋茲與浪漫主義的哥雅。為此，首先依兩人之創作的藝術理論起而加深敍述分析，其次藉其作品之比較，著重在手兩者之類似與差異。再者，呈現比較兩人的成就及其對後世的影響。最後，以綜論、心得和展望呈現其結論。
Diego Velazquez, a realistic painter, is not only one of the greatest Spanish
painters but also regarded as “the painter of the painter” by impressionistic
painters. Goya is a romantic artist, who is honored as “the first painter in Spain”
by Carlos IV and “Shakespeare in the area of painting” at the time. In addition,
Goya is considered a continuation of the ancient masters in the west and the
beginning of modern painting.
In this study, the correction and difference about the inheritance of the artists are studied through painters’ life, creative concept, the analysis of art style and the
unique artistic thought. Synthesizing all theories, the art position of Diego Velazquez and Goya are confirmed owing to the effect and assessment of the arts they composed. In conclusion, the purpose of the study is to compare the realist Diego Velazquez with romanticist Goya. First, their art theories will be analyzed in-depth. Second, the similarities and differences about their works will be studied. Third, their achievements and influences on later generations will be shown .Finally, the comprehensive discussion, reflection and expectation will be presented in the conclusion.
