Automobile-oriented development in Taiwan was going from sustainable development. Transit-oriented development concepts are applied to outcome this problem. The most important implementation tools are high density, diversity of land use and pedestrian-oriented design, so called 3D, around transit station areas Experiential researches proved that 3Ds are contributive to raise transit trips. Although high density and diversity are also contributive to raise transit trips in Taiwan, no one discussed about the influences of pedestrian-oriented design on transit trips Therefore, this paper discusses this issue by taking MRT Jhonghe Line Jingan station and Dingxi station for case studies and taking advantage of questionnaire and regression analysis Finally, this paper finds positive relationships between accessibility in TOD concepts and mass rapid transit trips and then makes up strategies.
