本文旨在探討男性進入被視為女性化職業的社會工作領域其工作經驗。主要在探討他們的工作經驗,在如何運用專業服務案主,以及在面對主管、同事間的互動關係及探討男性在此專業之中的升遷與留任。本研究採用質性研究方法,透過深入訪談的方式,訪談六位男性社工,其領域包括:家庭暴力、兒少保護、身心障礙者、老人安養、遊民等,主要研究結果發現:
1. 社工專業發展來源為督導與教育訓練,指導者的好壞會成為社工專業成長的關鍵。社工長期處於高工作壓力之下易產生崩熬,礙於男性角色使得男性社工無法將壓力表達出來,男性擔任社工主管必須要男性化與女性化特質兼具才能勝任主管職務。
2. 男性在容易進入外展或具有風險性質的領域工作,在專業服務上男性可依靠後天訓練,來提供照顧服務給女性案主。
3. 男性社工本身的男子氣概會遭到壓抑,男性社工會靠著展現自己理性、果斷的特質來彰顯自己的男子氣概。
4. 家庭關係對於男性社工的留任與升遷影響很大,男性會藉著尋找穩定工作的場域來維持自己男性養家的角色。
This article discussed working experience which male as feminized social occupation. this article focus on male workers' work experiences such as treat case with professional knowledge ,interact with colleague ,promotion and retention. This study was developed that interviewed with six male social workers which from domestic violence, child protection, disabilities, elderly nursing and vagrant. the study was summarized:
1. Developed social workers' professional knowledge are by supervised and education training, and it also has strong relativity with the guides' abilities. Social workers have broken out due to long-term staying in high tensional working environment. In typical, male would suppress emotions when faced the working pressure. hence, male as the director of social worker have feminized and masculine properties.
2. the male natural humanity have extrovert and received high risk properties. The male social work provide aid to female client with professional knowledge which developed by educational training.
3. The masculine physique of male social works are suppressed. Male social works show reasonable and decisive prosperities to prove the masculine physique self.
4. The familiar relativity have strong effect on promotion and retention of male social works. the male will stay in stable work to maintain the familial financial source.
