本文嘗試透過漢藏史料的重新爬梳與解讀，探討墀祖德贊（815－836？837？在位）就任贊普時期，唐蕃關係的發展。就唐蕃之間所發生諸多外交、軍事等事件，諸如西元八二二年唐蕃會盟、西元八三一年維州事件等的影響及意義等等，以及對唐蕃雙方內部的影響等。
The problem was Khri gtsug lde brtsan himself, and that was the main reason for him to lead his empire to the circumstances of contraction, besides, many aspect of domestic and foreign affairs were so different from the situation of his predecessor of btsan po. Therefore, when discussed the relationship between Sino - Tibetan in the period of Khri gtsug lde brtsan, former scholars usually misled by the concept and the view point that Khri gtsug lde brtsan was a wise monarch, and that's the reason for the research had some deviation, so, to re-examine the relationship between Sino - Tibetan in the period of Khri gtsug lde brtsan become necessary. The focus of this thesis is on the incidents of foreign and military affairs, which were happened between Sino - Tibetan, such as Sino - Tibetan to meet for concluding treaties in A.D.822, Wei-Chou Event (維州事件) in A.D.83I, etc., try to fine out the effect and the meaning of these incidents and the influence on the domestic operation in both Sino and Tibetan.
