    Abstract: The study aimed to compare the coping strategy used Athlete Coping Strategy Inventory (ACSI-28) to individual sport and team sport and to know coping strategy from each subscale of ACSI-28 and making gender comparisons from each individual sport and team sport. The participants were 60 student athletes from Chinese Culture University in Taiwan, 15 each female from individual sport and 15 each male from team sport. The instrument for the study was the Athletic Coping Skills Inventory-28 (ACSI-28) Chinese version (Huang, 1999.) for measuring Coping Strategy. ACSI-28 included 28 questions in Likert 4 value (from almost never=1 to almost always =4), and statistical test of two way ANOVA and independent t-test was used in significant level of p = .05 to analyze the data. The result showed, there was no significant differences comparing coping strategy between individual and team sport, and there was significant differences based on sport type of ACSI-28 subscales coping with adversity and peaking under pressure.
