The paper presents basic guidelines for authoring Web-based multi-media electronic manuals. Innovative approach based on Learning Object (LO) ideology has been applied to the construction procedures for Web-based e-learning resources ”Russian Phonetics” and ”Phonetics of Russian Dialects”. Evolution of technological approaches in authoring e-learning resources for classical Philological curriculum in Russia is presented thus for discussion.
