由於台灣的移墾制度,造成台灣女性在扭曲的社會價值觀中,長期扮演著弱勢、被欺凌、被犧牲的角色而缺乏了獨立的人格。日治時代的台灣作家中,持續在作品中表現了對女性的尊重與關懷的,非楊守愚莫屬。本文即自其陸續發表的四十餘篇小說中,以時代背景為襯托,探討台灣社會中不同的女性角色所處的困境,作者除對身處日人統治下,人民困窘的境遇與婦女的不幸,深表同情外,更希望藉由文字達到思想啟蒙的目的。
Due to the system of migrant wasteland cultivation in Taiwan, the female there had long been playing the role of the weak, bullied, and being the victims without their individual personalities under the twisted social value. In the Japanese occupied period, Yang Shou-Yu should be viewed as the upmost one in his works continued expressing the respects and cares toward the feminine among Taiwanese writers. This thesis studies his published, more than forty novels in a roll. Under that time period as being the background in the Taiwanese society, it leads the research on the predicaments which various female roles were involved in. The researcher not only expresses the sympathy toward civilian sufferings and female predicaments, the enlightenment in thinking through this research is also hoped to achieve.
