This paper is aimed to study the fabrication of weft-insert warp knitted fabrics (WIWK fabrics) with high modulus filers, and the effect of knitting elements to fabricating of WIWK fabrics with high modulus fibers. The experimental results showed that apart from glass fiber, Kevlar 49 was the easiest fiber to be fabricated, while the carbon fiber was the most difficult one. The rate of damage of guide bars to high modulus fibers was large. It should be decreased the rate of damage over 60% if the cylinder guide bars were used.
