    Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the residents’ perceptions regarding community’ satisfaction, the structural effects of 4 tourism impacts, social, cultural, economy, and environmental, and this indirect relationship is mediated by total impacts on local residents’ support for tourism development in KhonKaen province, Thailand. Originally, KhonKaen is a rural community, and now becomes one of the fastest growing cities which play an important part as an economic center of northeast region of Thailand. Although northeast remains Thailand's poorest region, but Khon Kaen is quite a new town with a various cultures later occupied the plateau for thousands of years as well as other fascinating creatures from the prehistorically. The geographical location and abundance in natural resources can be take advantage to be promoted as both a food and energy production hub for the region. So, this paper will mainly focus on an opportunity of rural tourism development in the community. The data were distributed to survey the residents toward tourism development. The data were collected from 400 local residents as respondents which the groups of respondents were categorizing into two groups consist of 1).Business man and 2).Others occupations. Firstly, a pilot tested was used to perform the further stabilize the missing questionnaire. The results of this study indicated an endorsement of local residents regarding tourism development in community which can be benefits and filling the gap for the community tourism development in the future.
