In the modern democratic and pluralistic society, the identity as a homosexual is not only a sexual orientation, but also a self-identity. In many well-developed modern society, the legal and social status of any homosexual is well-recognized. Unfortunately, homosexual tourism in Taiwan is still in its budding phase. Information regarding homosexual tourism is not integrated, but also its products and safety considerations are not well-organized and managed as a whole. Thus, the purpose of this thesis statement is to speak out for the homosexuals by providing a perspective, exploratory and qualitative research and also adopts the semi-structured in-depth interview method as its substantial procedure. The interviewees for this research are typical gay living in Taipei city. The target of this research is to obtain the wishes, needs and motivations which gay have regarding the GPT (Group Package Tour) and also explored their discontent with straight GPT. This discovery of the great lack of accommodations and services for the gay community within Taipei acts as a motive to improve the travel agencies’ and governments’ approach to society and its needs.
