Copper wire and polyamide filaments used as core yam were wrapped with polypropylene filaments. Identical yarn was utilized for warp and weft to obtain isotropic shielding behavior. Samples were produced with an electronic loom. In the second step, four or six layers of fabric were laminated at various angles in various thicknesses. This study investigates the shielding effectiveness of the various layers of fabric. The screened aperture and wave-transmission-matrix methods were adopted to estimate shielding effectiveness of the fabric and composites and to verify and compare the correlation between measured results and values calculated using empirical equations.
