ABSTRACT
Xu Yin, who was one of the three well-known Lufu writer in late Tang Dynasty. He was good at Literature, especially at Lufu, leaving a great deal of
excellent verses. At the present time, the researches on the three well-known Lufu writer in late Tang Dynasty have including Wang Qi ang Huang Tao, but no Xu Yin. This is the reason why this thesis trying to reveal Xu Yin Lufu’s particular style feature and various function in structure, and explore the characteristics of Lufu and its role in the literature history. The whole paper can be divided into six major parts.
Chapter I: Brief Introduction.
Chapter II: The literature background of Lufu（a fu style emphasizing rhymes）in late Tang Dynasty.
Chapter III: The life history of Xu Yin and his literature works.
Chapter IV: The analysis of Xu Yin Lufu’s contents of literary styles.
Chapter V: The analysis of Xu Yin Lufu’s forms of literary styles.
Chapter VI: Conclusions：The criticism and evaluation of Xu Yin’s Lufu.
Addendum I:The provenances of Xu Yin’s Lufu.
Addendum II: The Fu Books in mid and late Tang Dynasty.
Addendum III: The outline form of Xu Yin’s life.
Addendum IV: The original text and punctuation corrections of Xu Yin Lufu.
The study helps us to understand the characteristics of Xu Yin Lufu literature, and enable us to explore Xu Yin Lufu’s formation mechanism and influence on creation. In short, from the study we can see Xu Yin Lufu’s significant value of literature, criticism, culture and other aspects.
