摘要:	1990 年代中期後，年輕世代失業率上升且薪資停滯，同時戰後嬰兒潮步入老年的時點逼近，所以國外累積愈來愈多的世代所得差距研究。這些研究拍出年輕世代面對比以往嚴峻的就業市場及高住宅成本，反之嬰兒潮世代多長期持有自用住宅、陸續開始請領公共與私人退休金，因此世代所得差距持續擴大。造成國外世代差距擴大的原因，也是台灣持續發生中的社會現象。台灣因國共內戰，所以戰後嬰兒潮在 2014 才開始步入老年。我們應進行能與國外對比的世代所得差距研究，以供未來制定世代資源、分配政策之參考。本研究將使用「盧森笙所得研究」的第二至第六波資料庫，比較台灣、英國、德國、義大利與加拿大 1984-2005 年的世代所得差距變化，並分析勞動市場轉變及自有住宅等兩項因素對世代差距的影響。此外，我們還用第二、六波資料庫進行 The i l 不均度分解，以檢視年齡組之間的所得差異對整體不均度的貢獻度是否逐漸增加。 Since the mid-1990s, the unemployment rate of the younger generation has risen and their wages have leveled off, baby boomers have aged and more and more international studies have focused on income gaps between cohorts. These studies have indicated that the young generation faces an unprecedented severe job market and high housing cost; however, baby boomers have owned residences for a long time, and receive public and private retirement pension, enlarging the income gap between cohorts. The phenomenon of enlarging income gap between cohorts has also happened in Taiwanese society. Because of the Chinese civil war, the baby boomers in Taiwan will become elders after 2014. We should analyze the international research on the income gap between cohorts, providing a reference for establishing resource distribution policies in the near future. This study uses the database from the Luxembourg Income Study from the second to the sixth wave (from 1984 to 2005), to compare the income changes between cohorts in Taiwan, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and Canada and to analyze the influences of the labor market and own-occupied housing on the gaps between cohorts. Furthermore, we selected the second and the sixth studies from the database to conduct the Theil index decomposition, to examine whether the total inequality contribution increased along with the enlarging income gaps between age groups.
