本研究以高等教育教學認證課程、教學專業諮詢與教學學術研究三大教學專業發展策略為主題,探討於我國高等教育環境實施之可行性與適切性。將採用調查研究法之實地觀察、實地訪談和問卷調查蒐集國內外相關資料。國內大學教學專業發展策略實施情形方面,將透過問卷調查目前國內大學實施教學認證課程、教學專業諮詢與教學學術研究之情形,然後選取較具實施成效之大學進行深入訪談。國外大學實施經驗的蒐集,於教學認證課程方面,將實地參與香港理工大學所開設之教學認證課程,觀察課程開設方式並進行相關人員訪談。於教學專業諮詢與教學學術研究部分,將訪談美國俄亥俄州立大學教學發展中心相關人員以了解國外大學實施情形。待國內外相關蒐集齊全,進行國內外制度比較分析後,即進行國內高等教育環境實施之可行性與適切性之探討。首先訪談國內高等教育專家學者與實務工作者以諮詢國內實施高等教育教學認證課程、教學專業諮詢與教學學術研究可行性與適切性之專業意見。然後以問卷方式抽樣調查全國大學教師對於使用上述三種教學專業發展策略之需求、意願及動機。最後,將所蒐集之國內外資料進行交叉分析,提出我國高等教育發展教學專業提升策略之建議。
The outcome of student learning in higher education has been emphasized recently. The teaching effectiveness is the primary factor of the outcome of student learning. Trying to help the teachers in higher education to improve their professional ability by the teaching development strategies is an important issue for the university. The study tries to explore whether the teaching certificate program, the teaching consultation, and the scholarship of teaching and learning are suitable to be utilized in the academic sphere in Taiwan. To achieve this purpose the research methods of interview, questionnaire, and observation will be adopted. First of all, the investigation of the implementation of the teaching development strategies of the universities in Taiwan will be carried out, and then the universities that have best executed experience would be interviewed. To explore the experience of universities in other countries, the researcher will register on the teaching certificate program offered by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and interview the stakeholders of the program. The director and members of the University Center for the Advancement of Teaching in Ohio University (USA) will be interviewed to explore the implement of teaching consultation and the scholarship of teaching and learning in the university. To discover whether the teaching certificate program, the teaching consultation and scholarship of teaching and learning are suitable to implement in the academia in Taiwan, the study will seek advice from the professionals and leaders in the higher education and invest the need and desire of the faculty who have teaching responsibility in higher education. Finally, the data collected above will be analyzed and some suggestions to build up the teaching development strategies in the universities in Taiwan will be proposed.
