The solubilities for three anti-oxidants permitted in Taiwan of EDTA Disodium Salt, EDTA Calcium Disodium and L-cysteine Hydrochloride in supercritical carbon dioxide were measured in this study using a semi-flow type apparatus.
For EDTA Disodium Salt, the experiment data were taken at 308.2 to 318.2K and the pressure range from 10 to 22MPa; for EDTA Calcium Disodium, at 308.2 to 318.2K and the pressure range from 12 to 24MPa; for L-cysteine Hydrochloride, at 308.2 to 318.2K and the pressure range from 12 to 24MPa.
According to the measured results, the solid solubilities of these three compounds in supercritical carbon dioxide were between 10-7 to 10-6 mol %.Meanwhile, the regression has been made by using using semi-empirical equation presented by Chrastil, and that presented by Mendez-Santiago and Teja(MST), and with the average absolute relative deviation (AARD), the result of this research could be determined.
