In this study, we using a semi-flow type apparatus measure the solid solubility for four antioxidants in Supercritical carbon dioxide. These four antioxidants we used are Sodium L-ascorbic (y2), D-Isoascorbic acid9 (y3), Sodium Isoascorbate monohydrate(y4), Calcium L-ascorbate dehydrate (y5), respectively. The experimental data were taken at 308.15, 31315K and 318.15 K, over the pressure range from 12 to 24 MPa. The solubility of Sodium L-ascorbic (y2), Sodium Isoascorbate monohydrate(y4), Calcium L-ascorbate dehydrate (y5) are about 10-7 to 10-8 and D-Isoascorbic acid9 (y3) are about 10-6 to 10-7.
The measured results were then correlated using semi-empirical equation presented by Chrastil and Mendez-Santiago and Teja. With optimally fitted parameters, these two equations yielded satisfactory results where the average absolute relative deviation (AARD) was below 5%.
