《冥城》是高行健的重大劇作之一,也是他所有創作的分界點。全劇說的是古代傳說中「莊子戲妻」的一則故事。原本的故事很單純的,而高氏將此故事分成〈上闕〉、〈下闕〉、〈尾聲〉三個部分,使其繁複而成為高氏版的莊子戲妻。
高行健的每齣劇作都有其所要試驗的戲劇理論。因此,本文嘗試用他的戲劇動作觀和劇場觀來分析該劇。希望從此二角度觀點,帶領讀者能夠暸解此劇的戲劇動作所在,以及此劇若在劇場上演出,其表演之舞蹈、歌唱、腔調、舞台道具和設計的可能性。
《The Nether World》is one of the most important plays and the boundary in all the Gao's plays. This play depicts the old legend - Chuang Chou teases his wife. The original story is very simple, but Gao divides it into three parts and makes it complicate. So this play finally becomes Gao's personal edition.
All of the Gao's plays have his personal dramatic theory to fulfill. Therefore, this study tries to use his views on dramatic action and theater to analyze the play.
From these two views, hopefully, we can lead the readers to understand what its dramatic actions and performances are, if it can perform on the stage.
