Base on the plant physiology, the spectrum reflectance of the plant which can reflect the physiological characteristics. Remote sensing image can offer the multi-temporal and multi-band of the same place, therefore, we can effectively monitor forest development situation on a large scale, then we also combined with the data of ground survey, which can be used in monitoring environment and establish the ecosystem function. The purpose of this research was to study the effect of northeastern monsoon on the vegetation greenness of Leucaena leucocephala in Kinting National Park. In this study we applied normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) to detect seasonal variation in vegetation greenness of Leucaena leucocephala and its associated tree species of Acacia confuse with four SPOT XS images, which were gathered at different times. The results indicated that Leucaena Leucocephala had the lowest degree of vegetation greenness in winter and spring season and in summer season the degree of vegetation index is high that is different with the major associated tree species of Acacia confuse in Kinting National Park. This result of research could cooperate with the ground survey, it also supply to control exotic species distribution range.
