Abstract:	英語是廣爲使用的國際語言，然而學生對該用語並不精熟，因此對於學生們如何學習英語以及如何有效幫助他們是有必要探討的課題。本項研究主要的用意是想幫助大學生增強英語能力，目的在探討大學生學習英語的過程、方法，發現他們學習的困難之所在，進而了解影響聽力的因素爲何。希望藉由這個研究激發有興趣、有愛心、對英語教學有熱誠的教師，在增強學生的聽力教學上，無論在教材的選擇或教學方法都有一翻新的思考。學生方面，也希望他們藉由這個研究所發現的結果，了解自己學習上所遇到的問題從而更加主動的學習。 English has become the most widely spoken language in the world. But our college students seem not competent to use the language. It is therefore necessary to investigate the ways students' acquiring English and to determine the most effective methods of helping them. The study intends to help college students to improve their English competence. The study aims at examining the ways college level students acquire English as a foreign language, at finding out the encountered difficulties in their learning English, especially in listening comprehension, and at perceiving the factors affecting EFL learning effect. It is hoped that the study can inspire EFL teachers with interest, concern, and teaching enthusiasm to further pick efficient EFL teaching material and to further improve teaching strategies of enhancing students' listening comprehension competence. And students, through the findings of the study, can see into their difficulties in EFL learning and, accordingly, take the initiative in EFL learning improvement.
