Based on the study of the wide-ranging collection of the classical documents and with the help of the scripts on the unearthed archaeological findings including the bamboo slips (used for writing in ancient China) of ancient Chu State excavated in Baoshan in the City of Jinmen, and the inscription on the bronze graduate excavated in Changsha, the paper has made textual research and rearrangement of the genealogy of the Qu family in the Warring States Period and thus ten-odd Qu family have been dug out and added to it. In the past, scholars in this field always made Bo'yong (who was mistaken for Qu Yuan's father) the direct follower of Qu Sheng and Qu Shen who lived in the last years of the Spring and Autumn Period. Thus the errors in the genealogy have been corrected and the vast blank filled. His ancestors' impact on Qu Yuan's thought has also been analyzed in this paper.
