    Abstract
Judo is one of competitive events with effective method to advance Judo players achieving optimal physically exercise performance. Most of the reviewed papers about core training revealed that it is beneficial and positive for physiological adaptation in most of sports. A review of the extant literature about core training was done. It was concluded that the basic principle of core training is manual method, then progress toward mechanical muscular training for stimulating core muscles participating; meanwhile, improving the performance enhancement. In recent year, Optimum Performance Training TM (OPT TM) model is a process of programming that systematically progresses any athlete to any performance goal. Due to the lack of literatures about Judo coaching, the purpose of this study was to collect and analyze the information with regard to assisting and setting up a baseline for Judo players. Therefore, these methods may useful for coaches and sports scientists to provide the reference and application information to Judo players in the future.

Key words: optimum performance training, competitive event, strength training, physical training, physiological adaptation
