Introduction: 創辦人張其昀先生在民國51年草創中國文化學院之際，秉持著「發揚中華固有工藝」之宗旨，「中學為體、西學為用」之目的，設立實業計畫研究所之工學學門，為工學部成立之始，即是工學院的前身。民國69年6月，中國文化學院改制為中國文化大學，同年12月工學部經教育部核准改名為工學院。
