Using survey data collected by Taiwan's Election and Democratization Study Project of 2005, this paper applies structural equation modeling to test relationships between political media, political efficacy, political trust, political participation and voting behavior. For instance, the more exposure to political media DPP supporters have, the more likely they are to possess higher levels of political efficacy and political trust, as well as being more active in participation during county magistrate and mayoral elections. On the contrary, the more exposure to political media KMT supporters have, the more likely they are to have lower levels of political efficacy and political trust. The political media behavior of this same focus group of voters does not significantly affect their voting behavior, even via political efficacy and political trust.
